Lesson 1.5b

The Look

Once we know the facts stated by the passage, we work to discover the meaning of those facts
We want to know the implications of the verses
Ask the class questions about word meaning, reasons why we would want to heed the verses, reasons why we have trouble doing what it says, etc.
Example: Romans 5:7-8 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous man, though for a good man someone might possibly dare to die. [8] But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
You might ask, "What lead God to do this?"  or  "What emotions or feelings do the truths of these verses elicit?"

The Took

After we have studied the facts and the implications of a passage, class members need specific suggestions as to how they will change their life having studied this passage
You can ask for specific commitments ... "How many of you will commit to spending at least 10 minutes every day in prayer time?"
