Hannah: Trust-Filled Prayer

• Word game using Scrabble letters

  • Use your own Scrabble tiles or Download this page of letter tiles, cut apart.

  • Divide up all the letters equally among 2 - 5 players

  • Refer to 1 Samuel 1:9-11,17-18,26-28; 2:1-3

  • Each player spells as many words from the passages as possible.  Words must be from the passages.

  • The player with the most points from the letter tiles is the winner
    

• Crossword Puzzle based on 1 Samuel 1:9-11,17-18,26-28; 2:1-3 

  • Download, print and solve
           

• Here's an opportunity to write a song -- Hannah praised the Lord in 1 Sam. 2:1 - 3

•  Use the melody from one of the following hymns or another tune you like:

  • "Amazing Grace"
  • "How Great Thou Art"
  • "O for a Thousand Tongues to Sing"
  • "Hymn of Promise"
  • "In the Garden"
  • "Great Is Thy Faithfulness"
  • "Holy, Holy, Holy"

• Write the lyrics to a praise song that would relate Hannah's experience

  • You might start with her prayer relating her anguish and misery

  • Then end with her praises from the beginning of chapter 2
